I’ve been going to this place for five years and have never had a negative experience. It’s the best place to go for tough stains and alterations. They’ve gotten tomato juice, red wine, and even old stains out of my favorite pieces. They also have an expert seamstress who does a really wonderful job with alterations. Would highly recommend.

On more than one occasion this place has not returned items according to the date stated on the slip. They are then completely unwilling to take responsibility for their own mismanagement and even dismissive. Extremely overpriced for such mediocre service.

I've been working with shoe repair specialists for a minimum 25 years, having my favorite 2 located in Arizona, I was out of luck. So I stepped into this princeton shop thinking that they would be the most professional service ever! Unfortunately it turned out to be the worst shoe repair ever. I should have known by the clerks attitude. I needed the heel tips replaced on a pair of strappy, prada high heels; and asked Caroline how long it would take. She told me it would be 1 day, however the shop would be closed for a week due to the 4th of July Holiday. I decided to get it done since I was there; immediately regretting it as she entered my information into the system, because she began acting very bothered and aloof, curt as hell too. After asking me what was to be repaired, I said the tips need to be replace. She rudely shot back "the heel" to which I replied, "not the heel, just the tips", when she shot back another "the heel" and I kindly said "not the heel, just the tips please" this went on with her saying "the heel" a minimum of 3 times; all the while both I and the lady (whom I assumed was the owner; who was standing a few feet away, in total earshot) looked on in horror. The owner finally came over to the register, after the 3rd time I repeated myself, giving Caroline a weird look, before peering into the computer to show her which code to use. When the owner came closer to the counter, I pulled at both heels on the pradas, showing them both, that the heels and soles were entirely intact, except for the heel tips. I pulled at both shoes, on both sides of both shoes. If it hadn't been for that, what happened next wouldn't have been a big deal. But the fact that I showed them both "up close" that the shoes were in perfect condition, sans the heel tips; I was in absolute horror after picking them up. Because after giddily paying for them, I pulled them from the bag to examine them, only to find 6 metal taps hammered into one of the heels. Not only that, but the sole had been separated from the bottom of the shoe. A space and glue, were all you could see, in the place where a once perfect seam lived. I showed them to the counter helper and she acted as if she knew what had happened, as she was in the background when I initially dropped them off, hearing everything as well. She also acted very aloof, however a bit nicer. She said I would have to speak with the owner, so I left the pradas and awaited a call. The shoe repairman, who picks up the shoes and repairs them offsite, called me to say that he had glued and nailed my pradas, because the heel was so delicate. I explained that the heel was perfectly intact and he said it arrived damaged. So that left me to wonder...what happened to my shoes before the repairman picked them up? Fast forward to today, August 21, 2014, the day I picked my shoes up for the second time. Caroline happened to be working the front counter again and was a bit more courteous this time, and nervous. She hurriedly brought me my shoes, and when she walked away I couldn't help but notice how big her foot was. I began to wonder if she tried to wear my shoes out of spite? The only way the sole could have been separated as it was, was if someone with a big foot had tried to walk in them; because without the heel tip they were very wobbly. I would never recommend this place to anyone who needed a dollar store pair of socks washed, dry cleaned or even folded; and I definitely won't recommend Pristine Fine Dry Cleaners to anyone for any shoe repair, prada or nada.
